It is official; AOS is ready for Champions League Final!

4 years after installation Atatürk Olympic Stadium passes Uefa field inspection with flying colors.

Back in June 2019, UEFA announced that 2020 UEFA Champions League Final would be hosted in Istanbul’s Ataturk Olympic Stadium. As part of the bid for being the host, the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has committed to upgrade the capacity and the infrastructure of the stadium which includes a new hybrid pitch to provide ideal playing conditions under a newly installed floodlight system as well as fully modernised changing rooms.

After careful consideration, HATKO Hybridgrass was chosen for this prestigious project. The pitch was reinforced with Hatko Hybridgrass back in 2019. After the 2020 final game was relocated due to the pandemic, the Stadium has been hosting football games as well as other events.

In 2021 UEFA announced that Atatürk Olympic Stadium would host the 2023 Champions League Final.

Thanks to diligent and consistent maintenance practices, today the pitch is in perfect condition to host the 2023 Champions League final on June 10. The independent UEFA consultants tested the pitch extensively on June 07 Wednesday, and they gave the green light for the big match on Saturday. Weekly maintenance as well as yearly regeneration have made sure, Hatko Hybridgrass performs at its full potential for years.
