On May 23, a grand opening ceremony of a completely reconstructed stadium was held in Karakol, Issyk-Kul region.
The opening ceremony continued with a match between the football clubs “Bars” (Karakol) and “OshMU” (Osh) as part of the 11th round of the Kyrgyz Republic Premier League.
The President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Nurgozhoevich Japarov, attended the ceremony and, with the wish to strengthen the unity of the country, named the renovated stadium “Yntymak Arena”.
The ceremony was accompanied by a concert program with the participation of famous domestic pop stars.
The opening ceremony and the match attracted about six thousand spectators, and famous athletes Akzhol Makhmudov, Aisuluu Tynybekova and Ernazar Akmataliev took part in it.
The total area of the stadium, located on Nagima Aitmatova Street in Karakol, is 7.04 hectares. The stands, located on the western side of the stadium, which meets modern requirements, are designed for 3,380 spectators. The stands include a changing room, several functional and administrative rooms for holding competitions, rooms for VIP guests, media representatives, TV specialists, match officials and referees, and a VAR system. It is worth noting that in the future, it is planned to build stands on the eastern side of this facility.
It is worth noting that the stationary VAR system at the stadium is the first in Kyrgyzstan.
The main playing field of the stadium is Hatko Hybridgrass, surrounded by a running track. In addition, two training fields with artificial grass have been built in the area adjacent to the football arena. The stadium itself and the fields under it are equipped with modern lighting fixtures, creating conditions for holding football matches in the evening.
This stadium is designed to promote a healthy lifestyle among the residents of the region, especially the younger generation, and is designed to host national championship and international football competitions.
The stadium will be the home arena of the Bars football club, which plays for the city of Karakol in the Kyrgyz Premier League.
